Gentlemen & Hotties 6: The Genesis War

A huge goofy grin spreads across his face as he says "alright! sounds good" she would also notice a scent of leathers about him definitely wild untamed scent about him, as if the worlds laws and rules didn't quite completely apply to this man he says "lead the way" his hand squeezes her back but it was in no way threatening though she would feel those hands were skilled at whatever it was they do.

*insert silent and uncomfortable trip to the tavern, with Anya watching Raq like a hawk the whole trip*

Anya drank deeply of the ale the curvy tavern girl brought them, welcoming the cool liquid's effect on her tongue. She set the mug down, ungraciously wiping the foam from her lips with the back of her hand. The candle on the table sputtered and smoked in the dark room, secluded as they were in a corner booth. Other tables were inhabited by men of all shapes and sizes, seeking refuge from the heat. Some were asleep, some were playing games with cards or dice. Anya yawned, her jaw audibly popping and her fangs once again making an appearance. She leaned back, regarding Raq with suspicious eyes as she looked him up and down. Inside, his scent was more pronounced. It was a musky, leathery scent, a dangerous scent. Anya traced the rim of her mug with one finger, the stone protrusion on her hand casting a shadow up her arm.

"So this whole mess started when I stole some meat?"

*he strode to where she had told him, moving easily, gracefully, dropping down before moving into the tavern and ploping into the booth, he chuckles softly as she chugged at her ale, he didn't order anything but after a few moments of nothingness there would be a cup in his hand that he lightly drunk from, nodding to her question before his voice would sound out from the cup "Yeap, thats when I first saw you, i was tracking you down but I lost you for a while, following your scent about the city, Its quite pleasant by the way hehe i know i called weird earlier but its definitely just.....unique"

"He's flirting with you." Rahm chuckled. "He's FLIRTING with you!" Anya snorted and raised her mug to her lips. She whispered into it, "I know that, Rahm, color commentary on this conversation is unwarranted, just tell me what to ask the fucker!" Anya sputtered to cover up her rant, it was a poor attempt, she knew, but she always played up the schizo act anyway. Coughing into her hand, she hissed "and did you not notice he fucking CONJURED?" Recovering, she cast a sly smile at Raq, feeling Rahm mull over his behavior.

"You don't have a bad scent either, Raq. I've gotta say, I was hard pressed to realize someone was following me at first. You've got skills, brother." She tipped her mug at him in a gesture of not-quite-heartfelt respect before taking another swig.

*he gives a deep chuckle saying "now!....i wouldn't call it quite flirting....Rahm was it?" he smirks as he looks to her playfully, dark royal blue eyes glitter with a playful intellect as he stares at her "I mean she is pretty but I hardly know her yet" he winks and snickers before finishing off the mug completely, only to put it back down full again.

"Oh shit."

Those were the only words Anya heard from Rahm as she slowly set down her mug, looking Raq in the eye the entire time. No one, not even her mother and father, had been able to hear Rahm speak without help. That this stranger had that kind of power, that kind kind of sensitivity, it was baffling and horrifying and fascinating all at once. Yellow eyes met royal blue across the table as Anya's mind worked frantically to wrap itself around this development, but it was Rahm that spoke first.

"So you can hear me." He said, his voice low and even. "That explains alot."

Anya agreed, but she felt so...violated. For her entire life, Rahm had been hers and hers alone, a sanctuary of comforting thoughts and advice, of humor and companionship. She needed him as much as he needed her. And now this man, this Raq, could hear him too.

What a shit day this turned out to be.

*he smiles softly saying "I can hear you yes...but...I was also trying to...i dont think I can if I'am not trying and...well...to be frank I gotta be pretty close" he smiles softly and sips his ale lightly "So....tell me about you two...cause...well hell...this is very interesting" he rests his elbows on the table, leaning forward, his chin resting on his palm, as he watched her intently.

"So you can hear Rahm, but only if you're listening for him, you're fast as fuck, you don't seem to tire easily and stop showing off with the fucking conjuring, I get it. You're one bad motherfucker." Anya leaned back, folding her arms across her chest. She angrily snatched her ale from the table and drank it dry. "You noticed us when we stole, then got interested, and now you've got us right where you want us, but listen here, pal, I don't give a fuck who or what you are, you're gonna have to do a hell of a lot more than chase us around before you find out any more about us. There's a lot of bad shit goin' down out here, in case you haven't noticed, how the hell am I supposed to know I can trust you with that kind of info?"

"I share Anya's sentiments, even if I don't share her vulgarity." Rahm said. Anya flipped the bird to nowhere in particular. "We know your name, your power, and not much else."

"Yeah," Anya continued for him, "how about a little game of 'I'll show you mine if you show me yours'?"

*he just gives a grin before he ripples and bulges suddenly muscles flex powerfully as he grows massively in his seat before in front of her is now sitting a massive white lion, his pelt flawless snow white, long regal mane sitting about his shoulders as an impossibly deep voice rumbles out majestically "actually I'am not worth to much in a fight...I'am just a messenger...a curious little messenger boy" his eyes are now a gorgeous metallic silver they lightly widen as he says "oh...speaking of" he reaches back to a large tube that sits just above his rump, his tail now swishing playfully along the seat as he pops the cap on this tube he reaches in and begins to fiddle around "I know its in here somewhere"

It happens like something in a dream, Rahm has time only to sputter a vague warning as he feels Raq's energy surge before he morphs before them. Anya is scrambling in her seat, her fight or flight responses acting up again. Her heart is racing, her body perched on the edge of running, her mind barely comprehending Raq's, is it still Raq's?, words. She'd seen Beastmen like him, ones with the power of transformation, but never this close, and never one so big. She twitched as his hand went to his tube, almost grabbing her dagger. Rahm spoke soothing whispers that betrayed his awe at the transformation.

At Rahm's voice, Anya settled back down, her muscles rigid and unwilling to relax. She had spent most of her life running from things like him. Bigger and stronger things. But he said he was a messenger.

She watched in puzzlement as he fished around in the tube. "What could you possible have for me?"

*he pulls out a scroll it is sealed with a blue wax seal, the scroll practically glows gold as he gets out of the booth and stands up to his full height, he softly places it in front of her "Its a message...from a ...very powerful man" he suddenly looks as if he fell forward, but instead of falling straight on his face, muscles shift tendons crack and rip, it almost sounds painful but he makes no sounds to betray said pain as he stands before her now as a full and complete lion, just the long tube along his back, nothing else was visible but the regal lion stood on all fours, just one of his massive paws was much larger then his head though his calm soothing (james earl jones) voice spills through her mind like a gentle waterfall ~I do not know what it says but I do know it will not open just yet...he told me It'll only open when YOU'RE ready for what it has to say" he stared straight into her eyes, one that haunting royal blue the other the metallic silver as he rumbles a deep purr.

Anya was stunned. Rahm was speechless. Raq's speech washed over them and it felt like they were the only three beings in the whole pub, the whole world, even.

"So all this," Anya finally whispered, "the chase, the banter, you knew who we were all along?"

"But we don't even really know who YOU are." Rahm continued.

*the lion pushes up hard on his front paws, quickly rising to his back feet, shrinking down, the hair recedes and his muscles compact back down into a lithe agile form as he winks playfully, a glowing hammer can be seen on his hip "well of course you do...You know I'am Raq'de Yaeger...Raq for simplicity Messenger of Syntarin" he waves playfully at the scroll infront of them, the Seal was stamped with a hammer smashing down on a planet against an anvil.

Cage and the crusader

Adin would toss a towel over his head from a cupboard and come around the side of the couch. Deftly dodging as Cage shot up with a combat knife aimed at Adin's heart. Grabbing his wrist Adin would give cage a gentle squeeze that would nearly break the man's hand,causing him to drop the knife. He would sliding a leg across cage's shin Adin would use the other man's momentum to trip him to the floor, bringing the arm he held back around he would pin cage to the ground. “And I was told you Solider types were trained against basic take-downs...your posters do you far more credit than the real thing I think.” with a chuckle he would release cages arm and remove his knee from cage's back.

Cage had never been so completely disabled so quickly. This mysterious man with silver hair and devil may care attitude was far more dangerous than he had anticipated. Twisting his wrist a little he would deem it badly bruised at best. Rolling to his feet he would look back at the half naked man with both caution and admiration in equal amounts.

“So, whats your name soldier...do they give you names? THX1138 or something?” once more Adin would chuckle taking a seat on the worn couch. Looking around he would think to himself luckily the Cat seems to be out at the moment before glancing back at the other man. “dude you need to relax a little. If I wanted to kill you I'd have done it before you got out of that trashcan you hid under the couch” yawning he would stretch and feel the clothing materialize across his body. The towels disappearing.

Cage's eyes would widen as he saw the garments materialize. He had heard of magic before, even seen it. But to witness something created from nothing like this was a little mind altering. “where am I....what are you....a Wizard?”

Adin would flash him a grin only his father could have pulled off.

“that's right Dorthy...your not in Kansas anymore”

Back in Synsol.......

Emily and Donavan

She was busy tucking Ruby and Ash into their palettes placed out on her bedroom floor when the cool air from her opened window shifted, the smell of her friend awaiting outside. Kissing the kid's forehead she would quietly slip out of the room and down stairs to her kitchen where Donavan was helping himself to some left overs. "Well Donavan did you find anything on Gwen and my sister?", she would ask as he turned around, knawing on a huge turkey-beast leg.

Donavan would shrug his shoulders as he ripped into the juicy meat. "I went to the location that you described to me, but this supposed hut had been abandoned for quite some time, obviously the report was outdated, as far as where Gwen went off to..... along my way I discovered that a woman in Crescent City met Gwen's description but I wasn't able to confirm", he explained to Emily, ever watching her face for any cues as to why she had requested him for the task.

"I see.....well it wouldn't have been the first time Gwen went wandering, but perhaps this time she'll find the answers in Crescent City.......afterall she might find the truth there....as far as my sister......" Emily's voice would trail off as she thought for a moment.

"the child wasn't too much trouble for you was she?", Donavan would ask, taking a seat at the table as he rested from his journey.

Emily would chuckle, "no she was fine....perfect little Angel", she says with a wink. "they're sleeping right now.......you enjoy as much food as you want Donavan, and stay here to rest if you want, I've got some work to do", Emily would say to her friend before turning to leave him in peace.


Crescent City [ Magenta (see bios), Gwen, Vincent and Lena]

Magenta was escorting Gwen to a special base on the smaller sister island. Once getting off the train that connected the island to the mainland they began to enter the base after a small walk across empty land. "I'm glad you received the request to come here I am sure you'll find the answers to your questions here", Magenta would say as she walked beside the tall Gwen.

"I do hope so, it's not everyday I go without word of where I am heading, especially at times like these, but I felt if I didn't come, this woman would plague my dreams relentlessly".

"I see", Magenta would go on to say, "well she can be quite persistant, I've learned a lot from the Black Widow".

The two had been walking down a long corridor that lead to a circular stone stairwell leading down, reaching the bottom Magenta would lower the barrier allowing the pair to pass through the false door.

Inside the large room adorned several rows of healing chambers one of which contained a 'sleeping' Vincent floating in the soft green glow of liquid. Gwen would turn and run over to the tube, "Vincent....Vincent.....", she would call out.

Magenta would pause, "there's no need to worry, these are healing tubes, he was found by a merchant wandering around in his house bleeding everywhere, quite the mess. The man managed to stow him away on his boat bringing him here. We're one of the few healing facilities within Syn'sol that would take in a wolfkin", she would explain as she continued to walk towards a different tube.

In a half filled tube stood Lena, cables connecting to the helmet that adorned her head, special eye goggles flipped down over her eyes. The soft glow of green magic adorned the base of the tube, as it powered down. Magenta would walk over escorting Gwen just feet away from the tube. Opening the top hatch of the tube allowing a golden ray of light shine down Magenta would call down to Lena, "she's here."



Lena would place her hands on the helmet lifting it off, her eyes would look through the glass and lock onto Gwen. "It's so good to finally meet you.... we have a lot to talk about....Jora......".

Gwen would stiffen a little straightening her posture as she listened to Lena speak. Her voice was cold, crisp, commanding, but kind and gentle but the tone that echoed in the word Jora sent shivers down her body.

Lena would climb out of the tube, her figure hugged in a tight scaled leather suit, a towel held out by Magenta awaiting her as she reached the bottom. Magenta would say softly to Gwen. "I see your real name still has some effect on you, that's good...means there is still hope....."

While Lena dried off she would ask Gwen, "Tell me something are you ready for the truth.... the truth of who you are? of who WE are?".


Adora' Luna

After witnessing the games for the third day in a row, Sophie was starting to get bored and tired of the trivial brutalness, so with Ludo's permission Sophie went out for a day of pampering and went to get some cosmetic 'upgrades'. After a few hours Sophie returned to Ludo. She was stunningly beautiful, her choppy white hair was long ravenous tail of silk, her attire was a modern gypsy colors favorited by Ludo, blood red and black, her touch of gold and turquois accents helped break up the somber colors. Small colorful mechanical little butterflies fluttered around her, one drifting over to her master, hoping to get his attention, "well master, what do you think of the upgrades?", she would ask as she held her arms out slightly.

He looks to the bangaa and nods softly "it is good to know you're not all heretics to the forge god" his smile fades as is metallic eyes fall upon Cerberus he grunts lightly and wraps his hand around the shard of syns hammer they had found, he shudders softly as his muscles buldge, a strange blue and gold energy crackles across the arm that holds the shard suddenly his arm shoots like a divining rod to the right he nods softly "this is the quickest way out...i'am sure of it!" he began to trudge forward, a man who just a few moments ago had been complaining about the heat, now completely regenerated by the finding of an artifact of his god, truly a Zealot

Anya sat hunched over in the booth, her ale growing warm in front of her as she gazed at the scroll. Her arms were crossed, the claws oh her right hand idle scratching at her left elbow. When she did look back at the messenger, her yellow eyes swam in a concoction of confusion, curiosity, and anger.

"If you began stalking me simply out of personal interest, how is it you now claim to have a message from Syntarin himself? Either you're lying about the interest, and have always had the message, or Syntarin suddenly discovered I was worthy of his contact out of nowhere." Here her icy eyes locked right onto Raq's. "Why should I believe the great and all powerful Syntarin would suddenly want to talk to a street urchin like me?"

Raq'de Yaeger
*he stares back at her curiously, a goofy grin washing over his once more human features as he nods "see this tube here?" he reaches back and pulls out a scroll case, uncapping it, he shows her its empty, closing it quickly he waits a few seconds then opens it up and as scroll rolls out into his hand, eyes blaze over it just like his running as he nods saying "as for why he chose now? abyss if i know...as for why he chose YOU? i don't know but i do know...he chose me when i was just a worthless dirty pick pocket running around a town i didn't belong to" he stares into her eyes as he says this before softly scratching at the back of his neck "I don't know how the god thinks...how he works...what he even tells people half the time...I just carry his letters...and I know he is lacking his tool that basically allows him to not kill us all with his presence" he shrugs softly "hell for all I know the people he got to help him are dead by now"

Se'Gandu

Being somewhat taller and having longer legs made it easier for Him to keep up with the paladin. The fact his talons could spread his weight more evenly also helped in that he did not sink in the sand when it grew soft. He knew some Bangaa could walk on the Sand-sea with its nearly watery consistency, although He had yet to try it.

Xavier/Galthir

Lights of vast chambers created long ago and left dark for eons flickered to life once more. The light was a dim blueish glow that would allow the droids with optical sensors to navigate were it not for the innate knowledge they had in their program. Organics would have a little more difficulty, but now it would not be an impossible task.

It is Time...

What is it Time for, Master?

Wordlessly, the Conveyor belts and automated arms with drills, drivers and cutters set to work. Stockpiles of raw material that X had collected over the thousands of years were finally put to use. X's hidden Assembly started to craft his droid swarm. Each little droid was half meter across, a half meter tall made of a metal alloy, while not as powerful as Sky-forge, was strong for any common metal. these droids could fly and hover because of the Geomagnetical device, and each one armed with an arc-projector. What it lacked in range it would make up for in the ability to Devastate foes.


"I wouldn't eat these droids, Scaly-one, I can't imagine them Tasting very good." X spoke, 'looking' up to the Large Red beast that was Galthir'DaDaalon.
"Metal Does not burn; so no there is a definite lack of good in the taste as you call it." Galthir replied

Galthir Moved closer to a Metal container, sniffing fairly loudly as he neared it. "In here..." Galthir Began, "..What is it?"
"Weaponized mixture of forty-six parts polystyrene, thirty-three parts Gasoline and twenty-one parts benzine, A material compound from the old era, referred to as Ney-palm." X answered.

Galthir Bit the Meter tall metal drum, the pink-orange gel ran slowly down his gullet, and the gel caught fire after a few moments.

"Any good?"X inquired

"Veeerrrryy..."Galthir responded, his voice garbled by the fluid and Saturated by a feeling of 'good' on his tongue. "I demand more"

"We should believe him." The words, whispered by Rahm, made Anya jump. He had been deathly silent for what seemed like ages, watching the proceedings from Anya's mind, like a hawk watches its prey from the sky. "I know you have your doubts about Syntarin and his place in the world, in your life. But this is something bigger than doubt. Every iota of my being is telling me that this is real. There is a power far stronger than any demon or spirit at work here."

Anya continued to brood, working hard to keep her thoughts from Rahm's view, wanting, no, needing to work this out for herself.

At last, she sighed, her head hanging low over her arms. Shakily, she reached out a hand and padded fingers closed around the scroll. She could feel it in her hand, warm, like it had been left in the sun. She dragged it slowly across the table until she was looking right at it. She slid a claw under the wax seal, ulled up and...

"What the fuck?" The prodded it again, harder, her claw failing to make a single dent in what should have been soft wax. She put both hands at it, trying to pry it open like a wooden chest, but the seemingly fragile paper couldn't be persuaded. She turned on Raq in a flash. "What the FUCK kinda trick are you trying to pull here?!"

Raq'De Yaeger
He gives a light grunt as he stares at her tugging at the wax seal he gives a little chuckle "well...i guess...you aren't ready to hear what he has to say yet" he smiles softly to her giving a cute little helpless shrug "don't kill the messenger?" his little smile turns into a cheeky grin as he sits back down across from her and takes a deep swig from his mug "So...what're all these?" his hand snakes out lightly aiming to touch some of the strange formations coming from her body, as if the message from the god had not just happened at all.

Anya threw the scroll bitterly aside. Rahm wasn't saying anything. As Raq reached out to touch her, she knocked his hand away as she would a snake and flung herself back into her seat, seething.

"They're stone." She snarled. "Rahm is a Forest Spirit, and sharing my body with him gives me some of their features." She ran a claw along one design, making a gentle scratching noise. "The stone changes and grows as my skin does. It can block weapons and take just as much damage as any boulder you'll find in the Birthsands. Even if it chips, it will heal." Sighing, Anya idly traced the rim of her mug. "What about you? I've never seen a man transform so fully so quickly. Just what matter of Beastman are you?"

Raq'De Yaeger
*his eyes widen cutely as he lets out a "ooooooo" even though his hand was smacked away it inches closer again, moving across the table trying to be sneaky as he looks back up away from the protrusions saying "Meh I am nothing special...Just a man with a lions heart who learned how to unleash it" he gives her a Charismatic wink saying "though...I kinda have Syn to thank for that"

"Syn again." Rahm said to himself.

Anya smirked "Yeah I bet you're feeling pretty stupid after that little lecture, huh?"

"Shut up."

Anya laughed, feeling relief course through her veins. She hated tension. Especially when it distracted from good ale. "You like to touch, don't you Raq?" Anya smirked, noting his roving hand. "Fine." She put her arm out, like a patient waiting for a doctor's inspection.
